The Vention TPUH0 is a 15-in-1 USB-C docking station with MST support that adds two HDMI outputs, a DisplayPort, eight USB ports, Gigabit Ethernet and an SD card reader to a laptop. Its aluminium alloy body stands upright or lies flat thanks to a detachable U-shaped stand, and it charges the laptop at up to 100 W.

Description

MST: several monitors from one USB-C port

MST (Multi-Stream Transport) splits the video signal of one USB-C port across several monitors, so the desktop can be extended over different screens. In SST mode each output works in the usual way. HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort show video at up to 4K 60 Hz. The USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports move data at up to 10 Gbit/s, which speeds up copying large files to an external drive.

Who this docking station is for

Office workers and designers who need several monitors and plenty of USB devices on the desk; people short of desk space, since the dock stands upright on its stand; and photographers who read SD cards. The aluminium alloy housing helps dissipate heat during longer sessions as well.

How many monitors can I connect?

The specifications list three supported displays: two over HDMI 2.0 and one over DisplayPort, up to 4K 60 Hz. The manufacturer marketing text mentions up to four monitors, but the spec sheet says three.

Does the dock charge the laptop?

Yes, it has a USB-C PD charging port that passes up to 100 W to the laptop when a suitable charger is connected.

Can the dock stand upright?

Yes. With the detachable U-shaped stand it stands upright on the desk; without the stand it can be used lying flat.
