Xiaomi Router BE19000 Pro router, 6 × RJ-45 up to 10 Gbit/s, mesh, EU

The Xiaomi Router BE19000 Pro is a router for the home and office whose strength lies in its wired connections: six RJ-45 ports support speeds of up to 10 Gbit/s. Mesh support lets you extend the network later, and the BE in the model name points to the Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) generation.

Description

Wired speeds of up to 10 Gbit/s

The six RJ-45 ports support speeds from 10 Mbit/s to 10 Gbit/s, including the intermediate 2.5 and 5 Gbit/s steps. That means you can connect older gigabit devices as well as a computer, NAS or switch with a fast network card. The manufacturer does not state separately how many of the ports run at 10 Gbit/s.

Mesh that lets the network grow with your home

The router supports mesh networking: several units form one shared Wi-Fi network in which phones and laptops move from room to room under the same network name and password. This way a larger apartment, a multi-storey house or an office can be covered by adding nodes later. Which Xiaomi devices it pairs with is best checked in the manufacturer documentation.

What the name BE19000 means

In router names, the letters usually indicate the Wi-Fi standard and the number the theoretical speed class of all bands added together. BE refers to the IEEE 802.11be standard, also known as Wi-Fi 7, and 19000 to that class. The manufacturer does not list per-band speeds, the number of antennas or the band layout, so they are not stated here.

Internet over a cable, not a SIM card

The router has no mobile internet support: there is no SIM card slot and no built-in 4G/5G modem. Internet is connected by cable, for example from a fibre terminal or a cable modem. The manufacturer data lists MU-MIMO as not available. The router weighs 1 kg and is meant for a fixed place on a desk or shelf.

Who this router is for

Homes and small offices with fast wired internet and several wired devices, such as a desktop computer, NAS, games console or switch; users who want 2.5 or 10 gigabit connections without a separate switch; and families who plan to extend the network with mesh nodes later on.
