Incoming, recording and outgoing streams can each reach 448 Mbps. That leaves headroom even when many of the 32 cameras are high resolution and several users are watching video over the network at the same time.
Each of the four bays takes a drive of up to 20 TB. iSCSI support lets the recorder write to network storage as well when internal drives run short. For surveillance it pays to choose drives designed for round-the-clock recording.
The recorder itself runs face detection and recognition on 4 channels, SMD on 16, perimeter protection on 8, video metadata on 4 and AcuPick search on 4 channels. SMD separates people and vehicles from other motion, cutting false alarms and making archive searches simpler.
The HDMI output supports up to 8K, and decoding power covers 40 Full HD streams at 30 frames per second. A large screen in a guard room can therefore show many cameras at once without choppy video.
