PoE watchdog monitors the ports, and if a camera connection drops the switch restarts that port automatically. The watchdog and extend mode are enabled with a switch on the housing. The red ports also support 802.3bt and Hi-PoE for higher-power devices, and 8-pin powering reduces cable loss.
