Description

A classic shape with third-generation speed

The SE9 is one of Kingston's most recognisable designs: a flat metal body with a loop that sits well on a key ring. The G3 version brings USB 3.2 Gen 1 speed to that body. At 100 MB/s write, a 10 GB file lands on the drive in about a minute and a half, and reading is more than twice as fast. There is no cap, so nothing goes missing.

Questions & answers

Does it work in older USB ports?

The USB Type-A connector fits older ports as well, but the port then sets the speed. Reads of 220 MB/s need a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port.

Which operating systems does it support?

Why is there less free space than 512 GB?

Part of the capacity goes to formatting and internal functions, so slightly less is left for files than the packaging states. The manufacturer notes this itself.
