Micro is the most compact chassis type among Dell desktops. The computer needs no space under the desk and takes up far less room on it than a standard tower: the small black box can sit beside the monitor, on a shelf or on top of a cabinet. The desk stays free for documents and the keyboard, and fewer cables are on show. The manufacturer does not specify exact dimensions or weight.

The AMD Ryzen 5 8500GE is a six-core processor. The G in the model name means the graphics are built into the processor, and the E marks a lower-power version designed for small enclosures. Office work, video calls, web applications and running several programs at once all go smoothly; there is no separate graphics card in this computer.

The 16 GB of DDR5 memory at 4800 MHz is fitted as a single module (1 × 16 GB). That is a sensible amount for modern office work, letting Windows 11, a browser and Office run side by side without stutter. The 512 GB SSD holds the system, programs and plenty of documents and starts the computer quickly, with room left over for photos and larger files.

Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) support means the computer does not have to sit next to a network socket. The standard is designed for busy networks where many phones, laptops and other devices are active at once, and it works with older routers too. The manufacturer does not list the ports, including wired networking and video outputs.

Windows 11 Pro gives a company tools the Home edition lacks: BitLocker drive encryption, domain join and central management. The IT department can enrol the computer in its management system and keep updates under control, while the user can start working right after the initial setup.

Offices and accounting teams that need desk space for paperwork; customer service and reception desks; schools and libraries where computers should be compact and uniform; and home offices that want something smaller than a standard tower but still a fully fledged Windows 11 Pro computer.
