Slim is Dell's thin desktop chassis, sitting between the small Micro and a classic tower. The narrow black case fits on the desk beside the monitor or under the desk in a tight corner without getting in the way of your legs. The workspace stays tidy and is easier to clean, especially in an open-plan office with rows of identical desks. The manufacturer does not specify exact dimensions or weight.

The AMD Ryzen 5 8600G is a six-core processor. The G in the model name means the graphics are built into the processor, so no separate graphics card is needed. Unlike the low-power versions ending in E, this is the full-power model, which also handles heavier office work: large spreadsheets, several applications at once, video calls and photo editing run without waiting.

The 16 GB of DDR5 memory at 4800 MHz is fitted as a single module (1 × 16 GB). That is a sensible amount for a modern work computer, letting Windows 11, a browser and Office run side by side smoothly. The 512 GB SSD boots the system and launches programs quickly and has room for plenty of documents, presentations and photos alongside the system.

The computer supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), so it can be placed where running a network cable would be awkward. Wi-Fi 6 is designed for busy networks with many devices connected at the same time, and it remains compatible with older routers. The manufacturer does not list the ports, including a wired Ethernet jack or video outputs.

Windows 11 Pro is preinstalled and differs from the Home edition precisely in its business features. BitLocker encrypts the drive so data stays out of the wrong hands if the computer is stolen, the machine can join a company domain, and the IT department can manage devices and updates centrally. Work can begin right after the initial setup.
