Description

A small chassis that keeps your desk clear

The Mac mini has a footprint of just 12.7 × 12.7 cm and weighs 0.67 kg, so it fits under a monitor, on a shelf or next to a TV. Two USB-C ports and the headphone jack sit on the front, so you can plug in a USB stick, a phone or headphones without turning the computer around. The box contains the Mac mini and a power cord; the monitor, keyboard and mouse are yours to choose.

The M6 chip for everyday work and creative projects

The Apple M6 chip has 12 CPU cores and 12 GPU cores. The CPU cores share out the browser, office apps, video calls and background tasks, while the GPU cores speed up photo editing, video export and drawing the interface across several screens. Everything runs on a single chip, which keeps the computer quiet and its power draw low.

16 GB of unified memory and a 256 GB SSD

Unified memory means the CPU and GPU share the same 16 GB pool with up to 170 GB/s of bandwidth, so no separate video memory is needed. That is enough for office work, programming, photo editing and many apps open at once. The 256 GB SSD holds the system and applications, and large photo and video libraries can live on a fast external drive connected over Thunderbolt 4.

Up to three monitors without a dock

The Mac mini supports up to three external displays. On the back are three Thunderbolt 4 ports and an HDMI output, so a three-monitor workstation can be set up without extra hardware. The Thunderbolt 4 ports also suit fast external drives, docks and other USB-C accessories.

Fast networking, wired and wireless

For wired networks there is a 2.5 Gbit/s Ethernet port, faster than ordinary gigabit, which shows when you move large files to a network drive or office server. Wireless is Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6, handled by Apple's N1 chip. Keyboards, mice and headphones connect over Bluetooth with no extra adapter.

Who this mini PC is for

Home offices and small businesses that want a quiet computer taking up little space; designers and photographers who want to work on up to three monitors; developers for whom 16 GB of unified memory is enough; and anyone moving to the Mac who wants to keep their existing monitor, keyboard and mouse.

Questions & answers

Are a monitor, keyboard and mouse included?

No. The box contains the Mac mini and a power cord; the monitor, keyboard and mouse are chosen separately. Bluetooth and USB-C accessories both work.

How many external monitors can I connect?

Up to three, through the three Thunderbolt 4 ports and the HDMI output.

Can the memory and SSD be upgraded later?

The unified memory sits in the same package as the M6 chip and cannot be added later, so choose the capacity up front. Storage can be expanded with an external SSD over Thunderbolt 4 or USB-C.

Does it have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth?

Yes, the Mac mini supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6, plus a 2.5 Gbit/s Ethernet port for wired networks.
