MikroTik CRS320-8P-8B-4S+RM network switch 17 × RJ-45 1G, RouterOS v7, 2U

The switch has 17 RJ-45 ports running at 1000 Mbit/s. That is enough to bring computers, printers, Wi-Fi access points, security cameras and the rest of the network equipment together in one device. The 4S+ in the model name stands, in MikroTik naming, for four SFP+ slots, through which the switch can be linked over fast fibre to a server or another switch.

Cloud Router Switch means the device runs MikroTik RouterOS, which lets you configure both switching and routing functions. Version 7 is the newest generation of RouterOS. For the network administrator this means the same system and command line are used across all MikroTik devices, and configuration stays consistent throughout the network.

The switch comes in a 2U rackmount enclosure that is installed in a server cabinet alongside other network equipment. It weighs 2.153 kg. Once mounted in the rack it stays firmly in place, the cabling stays tidy and all ports are within easy reach in one row, which makes maintenance and cable changes simpler.

This device has no Wi-Fi and no mobile broadband, and it does not support mesh. It is a pure wired network node: the wireless network is built with separate access points connected to the RJ-45 ports of the switch, and the internet comes from a router or the operator's equipment.
