Silicon Power Armor A60 1TB Portable Hard Drive USB 3.2 Black

With 1000 GB of capacity, the Armor A60 has room for a large photo archive, a sizeable music collection, work projects and system backups. That makes it useful as a secondary drive for a laptop with limited internal storage, or as a dedicated backup drive that keeps copies of important files separate from your computer. A single drive can hold several categories of data, so you can keep them organised in one portable place.

The drive uses a USB 3.2 interface with a data transfer rate of up to 5 Gbit/s. In practice, this means copying large folders, video files and backup images takes far less waiting than on older USB 2.0 drives. The interface is suited to regular file transfers between computers, and it lets you move material quickly when you are switching between a home machine and a work laptop.

Silicon Power lists the Armor A60 as waterproof, which is a meaningful advantage for a drive that travels in bags, backpacks and camera cases. Accidental contact with water is one of the common risks for portable storage, and a waterproof rating adds a layer of protection for the data inside. That makes the drive a sensible companion for commuting, fieldwork and trips where conditions are less predictable than in an office.

Weighing 0.23 kg, the Armor A60 is easy to slip into a laptop bag alongside your other everyday kit. The black finish keeps a discreet, understated look that suits both home and office setups. Because the drive has no embedded battery, there is no separate battery to charge or maintain, and it is ready to use whenever you connect it to your computer.

As an external hard drive with a standard USB connection, the Armor A60 is designed for straightforward use: connect it, and your files are accessible for copying, opening or backing up. There is no embedded battery to manage, so the drive works whenever it is connected. This simplicity makes it easy to share between several computers in a household or small office without complicated setup.

This portable hard drive suits students storing coursework, photographers offloading images, remote workers carrying project files and anyone who wants a reliable local backup. The combination of 1TB capacity, USB 3.2 connectivity and a waterproof rating makes it well matched to people who move their data around regularly rather than leaving it on one desk.
