Description

5 GHz speed that reaches the far room

The RE405BE picks up the router's signal and passes it on to where the router's coverage is weak. On 5 GHz it reaches up to 5764 Mbit/s, which helps with large files, 4K video and online gaming, while the 2.4 GHz band at up to 688 Mbit/s gets through walls more easily and suits smart home devices. The RJ-45 port takes a TV, games console or computer that has no Wi-Fi.

Who this range extender is for

Homes with a Wi-Fi 7 or Wi-Fi 6 router where some rooms or the upper floor get noticeably lower speeds. People who stream and play online in a far room and want 5 GHz speed to get there. And flats where a cable cannot be run to a wired device, because the extender's RJ-45 port solves that.

Questions & answers

Does the RE405BE work with an older router?

Yes. It supports 802.11be/ax/ac/n/a on 5 GHz and 802.11be/ax/n/b/g on 2.4 GHz, so it also connects to Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 5 routers. Wi-Fi 7 speeds need a Wi-Fi 7 router.

What is the RJ-45 port for?

It connects a wired device, such as a TV, games console or computer, which then gets its network through the extender.

How large an area does it cover?

The manufacturer does not specify the coverage area; it depends on where the router is and on the number and material of the walls.
