Description

An outdoor case you can open with one hand

The RB912 board sits in a weather-protected case that opens with one hand. Cables exit at the bottom behind a protective door, and a cable hood shields the RP-SMA connectors from moisture. The case has three more spots for antenna connectors: add a second radio card to the RB912 miniPCIe slot and the unit becomes a dual-band base station.

Who this access point is for

Network builders and internet providers setting up a 5 GHz point-to-point or point-to-multipoint link, and rural properties where the network has to cross the yard to another building. RouterOS gives full control over routing and firewall, but expects you to know MikroTik configuration.

Is an antenna included?

No. The box contains the RB912 outdoor unit, power supply, PoE injector, mounting loop for a mast and a DIN rail mount. The antenna connects through two RP-SMA connectors and is chosen separately.

Can BaseBox 5 be made dual-band?
