TP-Link Omada EAP110 is a ceiling or wall mounted Wi-Fi access point delivering up to 300 Mbit/s on the 2.4 GHz band. It runs on passive PoE and the PoE adapter is in the box, so only a single network cable needs to reach the mounting point.

Description

Simple extra coverage for offices and guests

The white 189.5 × 170.5 × 29.7 mm housing blends into a ceiling or wall, and the mounting kit is included. Up to eight SSIDs let you separate staff, guest and device networks, while VLAN support keeps the traffic apart. According to the manufacturer the captive portal supports SMS, Facebook and voucher login, and management runs through Omada software, the cloud controller or the app.

Who this access point is for

Small offices, cafes, shops and guesthouses that need steady 2.4 GHz coverage for phones, tills and smart devices, and networks already built on Omada hardware. Where high throughput matters, a dual-band model is the better fit.

Questions & answers

Does EAP110 support the 5 GHz band?

No. The access point works on 2.4 GHz only, at up to 300 Mbit/s.

Do I need a PoE switch?

Not necessarily. EAP110 uses passive PoE and a matching adapter is included. The manufacturer states power and data can run over a cable up to 100 m long.

Can I set up a separate guest network?

Yes. It supports up to 8 SSIDs, VLAN, wireless client isolation and a captive portal, so guests cannot see devices on the internal network.
