Description

A curved 32:9 screen instead of two monitors

A resolution of 5120 × 1440 matches two 2560 × 1440 screens standing side by side, but with no bezel in the middle. The curve brings the edges of the wide screen closer to your eyes, so text in the outermost windows is comfortable to read without turning your head. One half can hold email and calendar, the other a spreadsheet or document, and the full width works well for a long timeline or chart.

VA panel, HDR and an even picture

The typical 3000:1 contrast ratio of the VA panel gives deeper blacks than a standard IPS screen, which you notice in dimmer rooms and in video. Brightness of 450 cd/m² is enough for a well-lit office, and the manufacturer also lists HDR support. Viewing angles of 178° keep colours even across the full width. The 75 Hz refresh rate makes scrolling slightly smoother than on a standard 60 Hz monitor, and response time is 4 ms.

Connections and an Ethernet jack

A computer connects over two HDMI ports or DisplayPort, so several devices can be connected to the monitor at the same time. The RJ-45 jack lets you route wired networking through the monitor, even if the laptop has no network port of its own. The USB-C port supplies up to 15 W: enough to charge a phone or another small device, but usually too little for a laptop.

Cables are in the box

The package includes an HDMI cable, a DisplayPort cable, a USB-C to USB-C/A Y cable and a power cable, so you can connect the monitor right after unpacking, to both newer and older computers. The Y cable lets you make the USB connection to a computer with either a USB-C or a USB-A port. The monitor is black and the screen has no touch layer.

A stand that carries a large screen

The stand lets you raise and lower the screen, tilt it and swivel it, so the centre of the large display sits right at eye level. The monitor weighs 12.81 kg, so when choosing a VESA 100 × 100 monitor arm it is worth checking that it is rated for that load. The built-in speakers cover video calls and notifications, so separate speakers on the desk are not needed.

Who this monitor is for

Office workers and analysts who want one curved, uninterrupted workspace instead of two monitors; accountants and project managers who keep several spreadsheets and a calendar open at once; users whose desk is full of cables and who want networking, sound and display in a single device; and anyone who values a VA panel with deep contrast.
