When leather is the right call
A leather band turns a smartwatch into something closer to a classic watch: under a suit and a long sleeve it works far better than silicone. In return it needs looking after.
- Water and sweat. Leather does not take constant moisture — leave it off for the shower, the pool and the gym.
- Breaking in. A new band is stiff; within a couple of weeks it takes the shape of your wrist and softens.
- Ageing. Leather darkens and develops a patina — that is the material, not a fault.
Fit

If leather is not for you
For everyday wear and sport a nylon band works better, and the most durable choice is a metal band. Bands for other watches are under watch straps.
Frequently asked questions
Can I shower with a leather band on? Better not. Repeated moisture stiffens and breaks down leather quickly.
Does a leather band fit Ultra? It does, as long as the band comes from the larger group (44/45/46/49 mm).
How long does a leather band last? Years with daily wear if you keep it away from water; sweat and pool water shorten its life noticeably.
