Why nylon is the most comfortable choice
A fabric band is lighter than silicone and breathes better than leather — it is the band you stop noticing. The weave softens with wear and does not stick to skin even in summer.
- Training and everyday at once. Sweat does not harm fabric, and the band can be rinsed under lukewarm water.
- Fastening. Some models are loops with smooth adjustment, others use hook-and-loop — handy if your wrist changes size through the day.
- Colours. This material has the liveliest range: the same watch looks completely different on another band.
Fit and care
Bands come in two size groups — 38/40/41/42 mm and 44/45/46/49 mm; find your case size in the Watch app. Lukewarm water and room-temperature drying are enough; fabric dislikes tumble dryers and radiators. The group logic is spelled out on the Apple Watch bands page.
Other materials
For dressing up there is a leather band, and the most durable option is a metal band. A screen protector covers the display.

Can I wash a nylon band? Yes: rinse it in lukewarm water and let it dry at room temperature; skip the dryer.
Does a fabric band stretch out? The weave softens, but loop models keep their tension, and hook-and-loop lets you adjust even as your wrist changes size.
Is nylon good for swimming? It survives water, but wet fabric dries slowly — silicone is the better pool band.
