AXIS M3215-LVE IP camera 2 MP, 101°, IK10, IP66, PoE, White

The camera records 1920 × 1080 at up to 30 frames per second on a 1/2.9″ CMOS sensor. Axis Lightfinder keeps colour and detail in low light, Forensic WDR balances the image when sunlight and deep shadow share the frame, and built-in OptimizedIR lights the scene in darkness without a separate floodlight. Minimum illumination is 0.14 lx and the camera focuses from as close as 1 m.

The horizontal field of view is 101° and the vertical 55°, with an F2.0 aperture. During installation the lens pans up to 190° and tilts from –10 to 80°, so the same camera works on a ceiling or a wall and the view can be aimed exactly where it is needed. The dome is 102 mm high and 149 mm in diameter and weighs 783 g; the white housing is plastic and polycarbonate.

A deep learning processing unit (DLPU) on the ARTPEC-8 platform analyses the image inside the camera. AXIS Object Analytics detects and classifies people, vehicles and vehicle types, and can be tailored to your own needs. The camera adds metadata to the video, which makes forensic searches through recordings quick and easy. The result is fewer false alarms and a faster response to real events.

An IK10 impact rating means the dome withstands heavy blows, which matters in stairwells, car parks and anywhere else the camera is within reach. IP66 keeps out dust and heavy rain, and an operating range of –40 to +50 °C covers even the coldest Estonian winters. Axis also lists the camera as fog-proof.

The camera has a microphone input and I/O connectivity, so you can add an external microphone or connect other devices to the system. It runs on PoE and draws just 4.8 W. Built-in cybersecurity features include HTTPS encryption and IEEE 802.1X authentication with EAP-TLS, and video is compressed in H.264 or H.265 and can be recorded to a microSD card when needed.
