Description
The MikroTik hEX PoE is a compact five-port Gigabit Ethernet router built for wired networks where wireless connectivity isn't needed. This industrial-grade wired router combines an 800 MHz CPU with RouterOS L4, delivering enterprise-class routing capabilities in a small, affordable package that cuts cable clutter by powering other PoE devices directly from the unit.
Wired Routing Without the Wireless Overhead
- 5 Gigabit Ethernet ports (RJ-45) plus 1 SFP slot for fibre connectivity
- PoE output on ports 2–5 (1 A per port, 2 A total) supports passive PoE or 802.3af/at mode B devices
- Passive PoE input accepts 12–57 V, reducing the need for separate power adapters

The device has a USB 2.0 port and a SFP port for adding optical fiber connectivity. The ports 2-5 can power other PoE capable devices with the same voltage as applied to the unit. It is affordable, small and easy to use, but at the same time comes with a very powerful 800MHz CPU, capable of all the advanced configurations that RouterOS supports. Less power adapters and cables to worry about! Max current is 1A per port, Ethernet ports are shielded. It also supports passive PoE input and passive or 802.3af/at PoE output.
