Arozzi Torretta SoftFabric gaming chair, nylon base, up to 100 kg, Dark Grey

The cover is SoftFabric, a soft fabric. Fabric upholstery feels warm to the touch and does not turn slippery or sticky in a warm room the way faux leather sometimes does, so it stays comfortable through longer sessions. Care is simple: deal with stains straight away, before they soak into the padding.

The frame is metal and keeps the seat and backrest in shape over years of use. The wheel base is nylon, a durable material that is lighter than metal and common on gaming chairs. The Torretta range also includes a version with an aluminium base, so it is worth checking the base material when choosing between models.

The manufacturer gives a maximum load of 100 kg for this version. That is an important number: if you are close to or above that limit, look at the Torretta versions listed at 120 kg, such as the Torretta SoftPU or the Torretta SuperSoft. For a gamer under 100 kg, the SoftFabric is entirely adequate.

The armrests are adjustable, so you can bring your forearms level with the desk and keep your shoulders relaxed while using the keyboard and mouse. The backrest is adjustable as well, which helps you switch between focused play and a more relaxed position. The manufacturer does not state how many directions the armrests move in or how far the backrest reclines.

The Torretta SoftFabric suits a gamer or home-office user weighing up to 100 kg who prefers soft fabric to faux leather and wants adjustable armrests and an adjustable backrest. The dark grey finish is a neutral choice that does not stand out and does not show dirt as readily as lighter shades.
