Description

HOSAS: a stick in each hand

HOSAS means a flight stick in each hand, rather than one stick and a separate throttle as in a HOTAS set. According to the manufacturer, this gives intuitive and precise control and improves your responsiveness in combat and space exploration. In a spaceship one hand can handle rotation while the other handles movement in different directions, which makes manoeuvring feel more natural.

Removable grips and two bases

The set has two removable grips and two bases, and each base carries a central throttle. Speed control is therefore under both hands, and you never have to let go of a stick to change it. The two separate bases can be placed on the desk to suit the natural position of your arms, for example on either side of the keyboard.

88 buttons and more actions for your thumb

The set has 88 assignable buttons in total. Each stick has 21 buttons, including two triggers (one of them a double trigger), two hat switches, a ministick and a thumbwheel. According to the manufacturer, the HOSAS layout lets you do more with your thumb, so weapons, shields and targeting are always within reach.

RGB lighting and T.A.R.G.E.T. software

The white and black colour scheme, inspired by science-fiction blockbusters, comes with 11 RGB zones controlled by Thrustmaster T.A.R.G.E.T. software. The lighting sets the mood and can also help tell modes or button groups apart in a dark room. The set connects to the computer over USB-C and weighs 3.36 kg.

Who this joystick set is for

PC players of space simulators who want to fly with two sticks and need plenty of buttons without reaching for the keyboard. It also suits pilots who have used a single stick or a HOTAS set and want to try the HOSAS layout. It is not for console players, because the manufacturer lists PC as the only platform.
