Next Level Racing GTElite Lite aluminium sim racing cockpit, Wheel Plate Edition

GTElite Lite belongs to the Next Level Racing aluminium cockpit range. Aluminium is lighter than steel, so the frame weighs 31 kg while still carrying up to 150 kg. A rigid frame means a force feedback wheel base does not make the front end shake, and the pedals do not push away from you under hard braking.

Wheel Plate Edition means the wheel base bolts to a wheel plate on the cockpit instead of a desk edge. A base on the plate stays firmly in place, and its position can be matched to the driver. The manufacturer does not list compatible bases here, so check the mounting holes against the manufacturer compatibility list.

The manufacturer gives a supported user height of 120 to 210 cm. Within such a wide range a teenager and a tall adult can both drive the same cockpit once the wheel and pedal positions are set for each of them. That matters for households where several people use the simulator.

GTElite Lite is a base, not a complete simulator. The wheel base, rim, pedals and, if you like, a shifter are chosen separately. A seat is not mentioned in the manufacturer data, so plan for that too. The monitor goes on a separate stand or desk in front of the cockpit.

It suits sim racers who already own a wheel base and pedals and want a rigid aluminium foundation. Thanks to the wide height range it works for families and groups of friends with drivers of different sizes. The cockpit needs a permanent spot in the room.
